Revitalizing old buildings has been a growing trend in recent years. Beyond transforming them into cafés, concept stores, and other unique venues, “Wan Jing Photography Studio” located in Taipei’s Da’an District has been turned into a photography studio brimming with over a century of charm. The studio makes use of an old residence to recreate the architectural style of photography studios from the Japanese colonial period, preserving even the interior decor and atmosphere. Wan Jing Photography Studio has meticulously renovated and redecorated an old apartment on Chaozhou Street, transforming it into a photography studio from the Japanese colonial era. It perfectly recreates what was once a venue frequented by officials, merchants, and gentry, with great attention to decoration, furniture arrangement, and photo backdrops.
