No need for photo editing—just upload the breathtaking photos of Tainan’s secret metasequoia wonderland

Stepping into the metasequoia forest, the stunning scenery creates an illusion of being in the northern hemisphere—truly romantic. Located near “Jingpu Pond” in Liujia District, Tainan, a recently discovered metasequoia wonderland has been found by netizens. A whole row of metasequoia trees is planted along the lakeside, and viewing them from different times and angles reveals ever-changing beauty, attracting many visitors to take photos and admire the view.

Liujia District in Tainan is known for its many ponds, and Jingpu Pond is one of them. It is a nationally important wetland and is managed as an irrigation pond by the Chianan Irrigation Association. The entrance is located on the east side of Provincial Highway 1 at the 299.2K mark, featuring a southern shoreline trail of about 500 meters and a western shoreline trail of about 200 meters.

To preserve the natural state of the wetland, there are not many artificial structures here—only basic features such as a lakeside walking path, pavilions, landscape fences, and an interpretive platform. Nearby is the Linkou Ranch, and the row of metasequoia trees is currently still lush green. However, as temperatures have recently dropped significantly, they will become even more beautiful after changing color.
