Hong Kong Ocean Park’s “Christmas HO HO HO” officially launched on December 11, featuring Hong Kong’s first VR roller coaster and a range of exciting VR games. It also includes the 【Ocean Park x Pinkoi Christmas Market】, selling locally crafted specialty items, plus a festive Santa’s House, a romantic winter garden, and Christmas decorations throughout the park—offering visitors an experience that’s both thrilling and joyful.

Hong Kong Ocean Park’s “Christmas HO HO HO” runs from now until January 1, 2018. From December 23, 2017 to January 1, 2018, the park will open the Waterfront Plaza and Food Street free of charge from 7pm to 11pm for ten consecutive evenings, allowing visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Ocean Park x Pinkoi Christmas Market, Santa’s House, and Winter Garden. On ten designated dates—December 10, 17, 23–29, and 31, 2017—the Neptune’s Restaurant will also offer a Christmas dinner package with free admission after 7pm, letting visitors celebrate the holidays with family and friends.

Ride the upgraded 【Mine Train】 to experience “virtual meets reality”
The upgraded 【Mine Train】 combines virtual reality technology with a thrilling roller coaster ride, delivering a sensory experience that blends sight and motion. Riders simply put on a Gear VR headset to be immersed in a virtual Amazon rainforest as the roller coaster speeds along. The Gear VR, equipped with a Samsung GALAXY smartphone screen, offers a 101-degree field of view, allowing riders to experience meticulously crafted 360-degree footage from a first-person perspective—from soaring through the skies to diving underwater. While the body feels the rush of speeds up to 71 km/h and the g-forces of the coaster, the VR brings a new way to explore the biodiversity of the Amazon’s rapids and tropical forests, learning about the habitats of precious flora and fauna and the importance of conservation.
