Singapore’s Skytree and Taiwan’s Northeast Coast also boast five major light zones—absolutely romantic

Fulong isn’t just a summer water-play paradise; it’s also a must-visit destination in winter. This time, the “Light Spots・Fulong” series of events, jointly organized by the Northeast Coast & Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration and Farglory Hotel, not only features decorations at over 10 creative light zones but also adopts the theme of “Happy Times.” Using warm pink tones and blue-white lights symbolizing Fulong’s blue skies and white clouds, along with diverse themes, the winter nights in Fulong are adorned like a romantic starry sky, making it a must-visit check-in spot recently.

This “Light Spots・Fulong” series of events uses “light” as the main element to create various themed landscapes and regional characteristic images. Among them, the most eye-catching is the “Beautiful Lychee Fulong” at the Fulong Visitor Center, which specially reuses the lychee-shaped light decorations left after the 2014 “Taiwan Lantern Festival.” The combination of old and new decorations embodies the spirit of eco-friendly recycling. Additionally, the “Embracing the Sea” theme area in Fulong Ocean, set along Provincial Highway 2, features various marine creatures standing within it, as if inviting passersby to stop and admire the magnificent beauty of the sea, leaving one mesmerized.

The “Flower Forest and Butterfly Whispers” light zone, located at the banyan tree square in front of Farglory Hotel, creates the ambiance of butterflies fluttering among a sea of flowers. Within this light zone, there is also a two-meter-long national bird, the “Taiwan Blue Magpie,” soaring through it, offering a breathtaking view. Meanwhile, the “Happiness Starting Point” exhibition area in the Shamrock Square features an installation art piece modeled after Singapore’s Skytree, paired with warm pink and green happiness tones that shift and dance, filling the area with a warm and joyful atmosphere.
