The king penguin of the Huidou Planet is now hidden in this Christmas hut scene — that makes one more.

Popular Christmas scenes aren’t just about Christmas trees and European-style winter streets — Huidou animals are also loved by many. The Huidou Planet, in collaboration with Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, has sparked a photo-taking craze across Taiwan. At Taipei A4, near the intersection by Xinyi Breeze passage, there’s a polar bear and a reindeer — over 90% of passersby stop to take photos or selfies. Another large king penguin mascot, however, is located on the basement level of A8, and many netizens have reported having trouble finding it.

At the small underground plaza near A8, between Chantilly Plaza and the passage to A9, you can see the full set of Huidou Planet characters — the polar bear, reindeer, and king penguin — plus a wish mailbox where you can post your wishes.

The Christmas hut, which debuted on December 20th, is a specially created event area by the business. In addition to a Christmas tree, there’s also a European-style wooden cabin decorated for the holidays, attracting many visitors to take photos.
