One more must-visit new attraction in Korea—now home to the largest theme park

Aside from Everland and Lotte World in Seoul, Korea is also planning to build a new theme park in Busan. The Busan Urban Corporation recently announced that it will develop an ultra-large “OSIRIA Theme Park” in the city by the end of 2019. Covering a total area of 3.66 million square meters, it will be 2.5 times larger than Everland and will become Korea’s biggest theme park upon completion. The park will be located in Janghang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan.

The park will feature 31 large-scale amusement rides from around the world, including non-powered sleds, a super-sized roller coaster, a giant Ferris wheel, a large outdoor lake plaza, and a children’s amusement area. There will also be outdoor landscapes, fountains, and themed scenery. Surrounding the park, a super five-star hotel and a large aquarium will be built to attract tourists from various countries and backgrounds.

After obtaining construction approval, OSIRIA Theme Park began construction at the end of 2017 and is scheduled to complete and gradually open its facilities in the second half of 2019. Once completed, the park will become a new iconic destination for Busan tourism.
