The ceiling fell from the sky ! A China Airlines business class passenger nearly got hit

A passenger complained that on January 4th while flying China Airlines flight CI-522 from Guangzhou to Taoyuan, just as the plane was about to land in Taoyuan, part of the business class ceiling suddenly came loose and fell onto the aisle. In response, China Airlines stated that the front section of the business class ceiling did indeed detach during landing. Flight attendants immediately confirmed that no passengers were injured, and the aircraft has since undergone a full inspection and been fully repaired. The cause of the incident will be investigated and clarified by Boeing.

According to a report by Apple Daily, an anonymous passenger mentioned that at 5:30 PM on January 4th, they were seated in the business class cabin of China Airlines flight CI-522 from Guangzhou to Taoyuan. As the plane was preparing to land in Taoyuan, part of the ceiling in the front section of the business class suddenly fell onto the aisle, nearly hitting passengers.

In response, China Airlines said that on January 4th, during the CI-522 Guangzhou-Taoyuan flight, the front section of the business class ceiling detached and fell onto the aisle during landing. Flight attendants immediately confirmed that no passengers or crew members were injured. After all passengers disembarked, the aircraft underwent a comprehensive inspection, was repaired, and initial assessments ruled out any safety concerns. The root cause will be investigated and clarified by Boeing. China Airlines expressed deep regret for alarming the passengers.
