The first overseas branch of the Michelin-recommended dessert shop loved by the "God of Gamblers" is coming to Taiwan

The dessert shop "Ka Ka Dessert," beloved by the "God of Gamblers" Chow Yun-fat, is set to open in Taiwan. In Hong Kong, Ka Ka Dessert was awarded the "Michelin Guide Recommended" title for three consecutive years. Many travelers who have visited Hong Kong often include this dessert spot on their must-try lists. This year (2018), it will open its first overseas branch in Taiwan.

Established in 1979, Ka Ka Dessert primarily sells traditional Chinese desserts such as silky smooth sesame paste, chilled mango pomelo sago, and steamed egg custard with ice flowers. With each serving priced at around 20 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 76 Taiwanese dollars), it has gained considerable popularity among consumers in Hong Kong. The shop also features many photos of celebrities with the owner, showing just how well-loved Ka Ka Dessert is in Hong Kong. Among them, the most eye-catching fan is none other than the "God of Gamblers" Chow Yun-fat, who has been spotted by customers in the shop on multiple occasions.

Since 2016, Ka Ka Dessert has been recommended by the Michelin Guide for three consecutive years. Now, this Michelin-recommended dessert shop is expanding to Taiwan, with plans to open in Taipei’s Xinyi District in January this year. According to its official Facebook page, Taipei will be home to Ka Ka Dessert’s first overseas branch.
