EVA Air Ranked World’s Safest Airline for 5 Consecutive Years

The internationally renowned aviation review website AirlineRatings.com announced yesterday (the 3rd) its latest flight safety rankings, with EVA Air (2618.TW) topping the list of the world’s safest airlines for the fifth year in a row. Other airlines on the list include Qantas, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand.

EVA Air stated that flight safety is its core value. Safeguarding aviation safety is a job with no starting point or endpoint, no best — only better. EVA Air will continue to uphold the principle of “pursuing safety without compromise,” maintaining its excellent safety record to ensure passengers enjoy safe and comfortable journeys.

Since 2013, AirlineRatings.com has conducted the “World’s Safest Airlines” ranking. This aviation evaluation agency assessed a total of 409 airlines worldwide. The judging panel first conducted a preliminary screening based on criteria such as regulations from international aviation organizations, civil aviation authority audit results, and the airlines’ safety records. A second round of rigorous evaluations was then carried out focusing on fleet operations, maintenance standards, and safety records to select the world’s safest airlines.

Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of AirlineRatings.com, said: “The top 20 safest airlines we have selected are models of aviation safety, all achieving AirlineRatings.com’s highest seven-star safety rating.”

EVA Air’s performance in flight safety is internationally recognized. In addition to being named the world’s safest airline by AirlineRatings.com, it has also received high praise from other internationally authoritative bodies such as the UK’s renowned air service survey agency SKYTRAX and Germany’s aviation safety data center JACDEC.
