Convenience store's new strawberry product praised by netizens: much better than last year's plum juice

December to mid-February is the peak season for strawberries, and major convenience stores have launched a variety of strawberry-themed products and strawberry seasons, causing consumers to empty their wallets. Recently, a netizen bought FamilyMart’s new product “Strawberry Love Creamy Frappuccino” and found it to be a huge improvement over last year’s Strawberry Frappuccino, prompting netizens to praise: “Even non-strawberry lovers will find it delicious!”

A netizen posted on Dcard, saying that after finally clearing out the inventory of last year’s buy-one-get-one-free Strawberry Milk Frappuccino, this year FamilyMart has introduced an all-new strawberry flavor. The netizen also mentioned being drawn to this new product, the “Strawberry Love Creamy Frappuccino,” and decided to try it. “The first sip revealed a huge improvement over last year’s flavor. It contains strawberry pieces and vanilla ice cream. Overall, it’s a bit sweet but balanced with a slight strawberry tartness, so it’s not overly cloying. Even I, who’s not a big strawberry fan, think it’s pretty good.”

The netizen also said that, in comparison, last year’s strawberry slush contained Oreo crumbs, which were totally off and didn’t match at all. It was labeled as a strawberry flavor, but it tasted more like a plum slush.

In response, netizens who had tried it also complimented: “There’s been genuine improvement, and there’s a lot of fruit pulp, giving it a jam-like milk slush feel,” “Compared to last year, I didn’t know what to expect, but this year it’s really so much better,” “As a store employee, I highly recommend it—great value for money.” However, some netizens said last year’s flavor was better: “Am I the only weird one? I really liked last year’s version—I haven’t tried this year’s yet,” “I also prefer last year’s—even though my friends all said it was bad,” “Last year’s +1, it was so good I drank it every day.”
