Booking a complete set of New Year’s dishes early comes with great perks—hotels offer vouchers, cakes, and festive snacks all in one go.

This year, Taipei Fuhang Grand Hotel offers two takeout sets of New Year’s dishes: “Jiangnan Chun,” known for Jiangzhe cuisine, and “Haihua Lou,” featuring Cantonese cuisine. Both sets include premium ingredients such as abalone and sea cucumber, covering seafood, meat, and soups. Each set is priced at NT$7,500 (serves 5 people). Early birds who preorder before the 31st will receive a NT$500 dining voucher, a 6T cake voucher, and a selection of exquisite festive pastries from each restaurant.

In addition to complete New Year’s dish sets, the hotel’s Chinese restaurants also offer a variety of à la carte takeout items. For example, Jiangnan Chun features the intricately prepared Jiangnan Prosperity Eight-Treasure Duck (whole) and the symbolic “Start the Year with Chicken” Imperial Chicken Pot with Fish Maw. Haihua Lou offers fresh and luxurious Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and auspicious Turnip Cakes symbolizing career advancement.

For those who prefer not to celebrate New Year’s Eve at home, from February 15th to 19th, the “New Year’s Eve Reunion Dinner” and “Spring Festival Family Banquet” will be available in the snack areas of both restaurants, Golden Dragon Hall, Huayan Hall, and Fuhua Hall. The Chinese restaurant’s various halls and banquet areas will also feature exciting performances, including live band music, the God of Wealth bringing blessings, and welcoming the New Year with Fu Ge and Hua Mei. There will also be interactive games like scratch-off lottery tickets and scratch cards, with a chance to win a grand prize of a NT$7,800+10% accommodation voucher, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The lobby bar “How Bar” on the first floor of Taipei Fuhang Grand Hotel also offers a variety of sweet treats and gifts, including essential New Year’s treats like nougat and pineapple cakes symbolizing prosperity. This year, they’ve introduced a new product, “Cotton Nougat,” which combines the textures of cotton candy and nougat for a unique, non-sticky flavor. They’ve also launched Banana Cakes made with local bananas, featuring a golden appearance and rich banana aroma.
