Lukang in Changhua is renowned for its historic sites and traditional, quaint small-town charm. Visiting Lukang feels like stepping through a corridor of time, taking you back to your childhood. This time, blogger Qingqing will lead readers on a time-traveling adventure in Lukang—exploring a modern-designed museum, appreciating the beauty of traditional glass craftsmanship, and savoring nostalgic flavors in the old town.

Modern architectural designs bring fresh vibes
When people think of Lukang, the first images that come to mind are classic attractions like the Tianhou Temple, the Motsu Alley, and the Zigzag Alley. But beyond these, in recent years, modern-designed museums have been gradually established in the Changbin Industrial Area of Lukang, adding a fresh touch to this traditional town. Among them, the Brand’s Health Museum, which opened in 2003, and the Taiwan Glass Museum, showcasing the beauty of Taiwan’s glass craftsmanship, are both great family-friendly destinations to visit.

Little story about the attraction
In recent years, brand culture centers have sprung up all over Taiwan. These types of centers usually offer free admission, allowing the public to gain a comprehensive understanding of the brand’s philosophy and the production process of its related products. The Brand’s Health Museum opened on November 26, 2003, in the Changbin Industrial Area of Lukang. The museum is divided into five major exhibition zones: the briefing area, history area, brand area, skywalk, and health community. It presents the historical evolution and brand spirit of Brand’s Essence of Chicken through diverse formats such as videos, graphic materials, and artifacts.

What Qingqing says~
Although the Brand’s Health Museum isn’t very large, it offers educational and entertaining value, making it suitable for family visits. Admission is free, and each visitor even receives a complimentary bottle of chicken essence. The visiting areas are mainly divided between the first-floor exhibition space and the fourth-floor factory floor. Through interactive touchscreens, visitors can explore different sections at their own pace to learn more about the secrets of chicken essence. Reservations are required before visiting the Brand’s Health Museum—both individual and group visitors should book in advance. Opening hours may vary, so it’s best to call ahead for confirmation.
