This winter, Gongliao abalone takes on a new form in the Gongliao Abalone Fulong Bento. Mr. Zeng, owner of Fa Ji Fulong Platform Bento, said that both the Fulong bento and Gongliao abalone are local specialties of Gongliao. In collaboration with the Gongliao District Fishermen’s Association, they launched the ¥100 Gongliao Abalone Bento. Since its launch in late November, it has received huge interest and quickly became the most popular item in the store. Some people even came to Gongliao specially to queue up after seeing the advertisements, and others asked where they could buy Gongliao abalone to cook at home after trying it. This has successfully boosted the reputation and sales of Gongliao abalone.

Lin Limei, General Manager of New Taipei City Gongliao District Fishermen’s Association, said that the locally produced, safe, and high-quality aquatic product “Gongliao abalone” from New Taipei City has partnered with the Fulong bento to promote the city’s “Agricultural and Fishery Product Safety Label” certified Gongliao abalone. The goal is to let more people easily enjoy Gongliao abalone dishes, and after tasting and appreciating its deliciousness, they are more likely to purchase fresh Gongliao abalone to cook at home, thereby increasing the income of local fishermen.

The New Year’s holiday sees large crowds. Each Gongliao Abalone Fulong Bento is priced at ¥100 and sold in limited quantities daily (the shop opens at 9 AM). Sales end at the end of January.
