The stunning "Japanese girl" Yu Chengjing lights up Christmas – even more dazzling than the lights

As Christmas approaches, how do you truly experience the holiday spirit? On the 7th, New Taipei City Government gathered six festive beauties for an outdoor photoshoot at Christmasland to promote the special event “Hidden Gems of Christmas in New Taipei.” The lineup instantly became the center of attention, featuring the ultra-popular online “Japanese girl” Yu Chengjing, as well as two “Christmas sisters” who strikingly resemble Vivian Hsu and Joey Wong, capturing everyone’s eyes.

“Everyone is welcome to visit the joyful Christmas City in New Taipei!” Earlier, the New Taipei City Government invited popular online beauties to light up the Christmas tree, successfully generating huge buzz. Even the teddy bear scarves worn by the beauties became a sensation, so today six festive models were specially gathered for the photoshoot. The most eye-catching is 19-year-old Yu Chengjing, a first-year Risk Management student at National Chengchi University. At just 152 cm tall, her petite frame and student uniform give off a classic Japanese “Japanese girl” vibe, causing a frenzy of online searches and making her an internet sensation.
In addition, there’s the superstar-lookalike festive beauty Cai Chus? and Huang Yajing, resembling Taiwan’s beloved “Christmas sisters.” Huang Yajing, 22, a senior at Hsing Wu University majoring in Fashion Design, brought a fashionable flair to the event. Another festive beauty, Lin Yuting, 21, a senior at Chinese Culture University studying Applied English, showed off her sweet smile and youthful charm.
Other festive beauties include Shih Chien University campus belle Wu Wei-chen, Ming Chuan University’s “Golden Flower” Chen Yu-yue, and Aletheia University’s campus belle Shan Xiao-qiu. Each brought their own style and charm to the shoot, sharing warm holiday messages.

New Taipei City’s Joyful Christmas City opens its doors to visitors starting December 1st, with festive cheer continuing until January 6th of next year (2024). During this period, not only will the tallest Christmas tree in Taiwan on Civic Plaza light up the city nightly from 5:30 PM to midnight, but there will also be various Christmas decorations such as teddy bear Christmas trees, snowmen, and gingerbread houses.
The adorable displays have attracted many to take photos, so the New Taipei City Government has prepared 1,000 limited-edition Christmas teddy bears. From now until December 28th, on weekdays, anyone who takes a photo with family or friends in front of the Christmas City decorations using a mobile phone or digital camera and uploads it to Facebook can redeem a limited-edition Christmas teddy bear at the service desk on Civic Plaza. Exchanges start daily at 2 PM, with a limit of 50 per day, one per group, while supplies last.
Those who can’t get a Christmas teddy bear shouldn’t be disappointed. The New Taipei City Government has also launched an online event called “Hidden Gems of Christmas in New Taipei.” Before December 25th, participants can upload their creative photos with family or friends in front of the Christmas City decorations to the event website for a chance to win prizes. Prizes include New Taipei City travel vouchers, the much-talked-about teddy bear scarves, and Christmas teddy bear gifts.
