Internet idols Ah Xi, Chicken Cutlet Girl, and An Xiaoqiao dressed up as sexy floral goddesses, competing to see who’s the ultimate “Dream Floral Goddess”! As the three goddesses stood on stage, the audience of otaku were dazzled — they couldn’t tell who was flashing cleavage, being funny, or showing off sexiness, or who was who, let alone who deserved their vote. The moment you see someone wearing very little fabric and definitely showing off their assets, there’s no doubt — that’s Chicken Cutlet Girl. The moment she stepped onto the stage and lifted her skirt, the otaku in the crowd instantly melted. This time, the funny one, Ah Xi, took a backseat, quickly picking up the “Poinsettia” decoration from the front of the stage and trying to stand out with a humorous “more beautiful than the flowers” act, which actually won hearty applause from the audience. Finally, An Xiaoqiao wasn’t one to be outdone either, showing off her sexy look in a floral dress and a big flower headpiece, declaring, “I’m the real floral goddess!”

This “Dream Floral Goddess” battle will continue at the Nantou Flower Carnival. Nantou County has launched the “Flower Viewing Frontline” info app and invited the three fiercely competing goddess candidates to show off their moves at the press conference, while also broadcasting live from five top secret flower-viewing spots in Nantou. The public is invited to enjoy the flowers while voting for their favorite goddess.

The flower-viewing app features five secret blossom spots in Puli, Xinyi, Ren’ai, Lugu, and Zhushan, along with real-time weather forecasts. This year’s main event area spans 20 hectares, with natural flower-viewing spots scattered across various townships in Nantou serving as key highlights. From December through March of next year (2013), characteristic flowers from each region — including plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, and peonies — will bloom in succession.

The “Dream Floral Goddess Selection,” launched by the Nantou Flower Festival, invites internet goddesses from three different fields to compete as candidates, with online voting held during the event. Candidates include ETtoday’s internet goddess nominee “Ah Xi,” “Chicken Cutlet Girl,” and online shopping model-turned-icon “An Xiaoqiao.” The public can vote for their favorite goddess on the official event website. The winning goddess will not only be crowned the Dream Floral Goddess, but voters will also have the chance to join a free “Goddess Cute Tour” led by the floral goddess, exploring the Nantou Flower Carnival together.
