Is “Ah Dou Zai” transforming into a true Taiwan expert? Janet steps in to find the “real Taiwanese locals”

Travel enthusiast Janet traveled across Taiwan on the show 《Crazy Taiwan》, climbing mountains and exploring hidden scenic spots. In the second season of the travel competition show 《Crazy Taiwan Challenge》, Janet will lead 12 “Ah Dou Zai” from 7 different countries on a journey through Taiwan, putting contestants through various grueling experiences. After three months of intensive filming, the exciting and thrilling challenges will premiere on Sunday, December 30 at 8 PM.

The all-new season of 《Crazy Taiwan Challenge》 showcases six key elements — “food,” “culture,” “wellness,” “shopping,” “romance,” and “ecology” — exploring Taiwan’s diverse facets in depth and bringing the island’s unique culture to the global stage. Examples include traditional glove puppetry, authentic indigenous and Hakka cultural experiences, cycling along the North Coast, and traveling across Taiwan via various modes of transport such as the MRT, motorcycles, hot air balloons, and rafting. Through the lens, audiences worldwide can experience the emotional resonance of Taiwan.

Discovery stated that in order to help contestants become “true Taiwanese experts,” the production team deployed 42 members, spent 56 days scouting locations around the island, and completed three months of intense shooting. They utilized 11 types of transportation and filmed in 60 towns and cities. The 13 episodes feature as many as 51 intense competitions. These exciting visuals will be broadcast globally to attract more travelers to Taiwan and experience its beauty.
