Cathay Pacific’s Inflight Beer Betsy Beer Wins Praise & Expands to More Routes!

Since its launch, Cathay Pacific’s Besty Beer has been widely popular. In the coming months, Cathay will expand its availability to more routes, allowing passengers to enjoy this high-quality craft beer, specially crafted for the 35,000-foot altitude, on flights between Hong Kong and Europe, Canada, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, and Tel Aviv.

Betsy Beer is brewed using authentic ingredients from Hong Kong and the UK. It is specially formulated to counteract the effects of high-altitude and cabin pressure on taste sensitivity during flights. With selected aromatic profiles and carbonation levels designed to stimulate the taste buds, Betsy Beer was first introduced on flights between Hong Kong and the UK (including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and Manchester) from March to April, and also launched on Australian routes in April. Going forward, it will be available from May to June on flights to various European destinations (excluding the UK), from July to August on flights to Canada and the US, from September to October on flights to Japan, and from November to December on flights to New Zealand and Tel Aviv — all in First and Business Class cabins.

In addition to select Cathay Pacific flights, Betsy Beer will also be available at designated restaurants and bars in Hong Kong, including Kowloon Taproom, Zhang Men Craft Brewery, The Globe, Coedo Taproom, and Corner Stop Bar & Café, while stocks last. Betsy Beer will also be exclusively available online at Deli Delight - deli-delight.com.

Additionally, all passengers who book flights via the Cathay Pacific website – cathaypacific.com – can enjoy a complimentary bottle of Betsy Beer with the purchase of any appetizer or pizza from the selected menu at PizzaExpress in the Hong Kong International Airport Departure Hall from May 15 to June 30.
