101 Must-Visit Attractions in Taipei – 41 Experts as Your Guides

Want to plan an in-depth trip in Taipei City? The Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism invited 41 experts from various fields—people who know how to have fun, understand food, keep up with fashion, and possess great literary talent—to share their recommended 101 hidden gems and personal stories. These have been compiled into a special book, website, and app titled “101 Must-Visit Attractions in Taipei,” helping you explore all the city’s sights, flavors, and experiences in one go.

In “101 Must-Visit Attractions in Taipei,” the content is divided into six major themes: natural ecology, historic and modern architecture, art and cultural performances, creative design, markets and commercial areas, and specialty cuisine. Additionally, 10+1 themed travel routes are designed along with extended attractions, allowing visitors to explore and experience a different side of Taipei based on their favorite themes.

This time, 41 experts from various fields were also invited to recommend their carefully selected 101 unique highlights in Taipei, including “the most adventurous” travel experts such as Janet, Qiu Yixin, and Chu Shih-ying; “the most food-savvy” gourmands such as Yeh Yilan, Wang Xuan-yi, Liang Youxiang, and Yao Shun; “the most literary” writers such as Shu Guozhi, Wang Wen-hua, and Chan Hung-chi; “the most fashionable” media personalities such as Huang Zi-jiao and Wen Hsiao-hung; “the best storytellers” such as directors Giddens Ko and Arvin Chen; “the most discerning” experts on ancient and modern architecture such as Li Ching-chih and Yen Chung-hsien from Shih Chien University; and foreign friends such as Mi Jiefu and Saejou Tsuyoshi.
