Indonesia’s mysterious underwater statues—The Nest—are located on Lombok Island, just a stone’s throw from Malaysia, giving off a true deep-sea adventure vibe. This massive underwater installation consists of 48 life-sized human sculptures. The statues stand amidst schools of fish, and under the sunlight, the sparkling sea adds an even more mystical hue.
The circular arrangement of the statues symbolizes the cycle of life. Created by renowned underwater sculptor Jason DeCaires Taylor using eco-friendly and pH-balanced materials, the installation promotes coral reef growth and represents the beginning of new life.
