The Year of the Snake is almost here — Hong Kong Disneyland is giving out red envelopes with gold coins inside!

The most anticipated New Year holiday of the year is just around the corner. Are you ready for some fun? From February 1 to February 24, Hong Kong Disneyland will launch a brand-new Lunar New Year celebration, using the pure gold color that symbolizes wealth and good fortune. Starting with “gold,” the park presents a golden festive event.

During the Lunar New Year, Hong Kong Disneyland has designed a “Golden Sight at the Gate” gold-themed display symbolizing wealth and prosperity, instantly captivating guests as they enter the park with dazzling Mickey Mouse golden boulders. “Main Street, U.S.A.” also takes on a new golden look, where visitors will find charming golden Mickey Mouse Lunar New Year ornaments lining both sides. The park will also be handing out red envelopes from the first to the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, filling guests’ bags with chocolate gold coins.

In addition, ten “Gold Hunt” hotspots have been set up throughout the park, each with its own “golden” surprises. At the same time, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Disney Bear Duffy, and several other Disney characters will also don newly designed, dazzling Lunar New Year outfits to celebrate and take photos with everyone.

In the newly opened “Grizzly Gulch” land, the thrilling “Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars” will speed through a golden town full of treasures; the “Gold Pan” exhibit also features lucky gold stones for guests to seek good fortune; and finally, visit the “Fountain Valley” to get splashed for added wealth and a sign of “prosperity brought by water”!

Step into “Toy Story Land,” hop on the 27-meter-high “RC Racer” and the super fun “Toy Soldier Parachute Drop” to let your luck soar and experience “gold” falling from the sky; then jump on the “Slinky Dog Zig Zag Spin” to bring yourself a turn of good fortune!

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel also brings the Lunar New Year atmosphere to its exclusive guest rooms, allowing guests and their families to be surrounded by blessings. During the Lunar New Year period, guests staying in the Ambassador Suites can enjoy a complimentary “Golden Year, Blessed Mickey” room decoration; and by paying an additional HK$600 (approx. NT$2,268) when booking any hotel room, guests can also enjoy a Lunar New Year-themed room decoration. With a 2-day ticket, guests can visit the park on any two days within seven consecutive days to enjoy all the rides and the “Golden Year, Blessed” Lunar New Year shows.
