Experience Life of Pi’s adventure at ‘Pirates Village’ built by Janfusun

Janfusun World has invested NT$150 million to create Asia’s first Viking pirate-themed park, “Willie’s Pirates Village,” which debuted yesterday (21st). The park offers a variety of exclusive rides such as the “Magic Mirror Maze” and “Willie’s Lazy River,” as well as the “Pirates STOMP Show” featuring professional dancers from Taiwan and abroad. To attract visitors across Taiwan to be among the first to experience “Willie’s Pirates Village,” discounted tickets are available for just NT$599 from now until March 3.

Located in the Sky Plaza area of Janfusun World, “Willie’s Pirates Village” comes into view immediately after taking the longest escalator down, showcasing a Nordic-style pirate theme. In terms of rides, “Willie’s Lazy River” lets you enjoy an exciting nautical adventure, reminiscent of Life of Pi’s drifting journey. There’s also a “Hand-Paddled Boat” activity for kids to learn Willie’s brave spirit of exploration and training. Visitors can also brave the dazzling and surreal “Magic Mirror Maze,” where story characters may interact with them at any moment—lucky guests might even spot surprise appearances by “hidden” characters.

For interactive experiences, the dynamic and thrilling “Pirates STOMP Show” is choreographed using everyday Viking tools and weapons as musical instruments. It combines body movement, environmental interaction, rhythm, and sound through beat-based percussion, paired with stomping and body-slapping dance moves. Stepping on the floor creates powerful rhythmic sounds, symbolizing a warrior’s declaration before battle. It is the only innovative Viking performance of its kind in Taiwan.

With the launch of Willie’s Pirates Village, the affiliated Twin Kings Hotel has launched a winter vacation accommodation promotion to ride the Willie wave and attract more guests. Janfusun Prince Hotel, located near the park, is offering a limited-time, low-cost 3.3-discount stay package, with discounted tickets available for just NT$599 from now until March 3. Additionally, from February 1 to February 17, all rides will extend their operating hours until 7:00 PM.
