New York’s breakfast queen, Sarabeth’s, has finally arrived in Tamsui—of course we had to come try it out!In addition to all-day breakfast and sweets, there are also Tamsui-exclusive matcha red bean pancakes and crab meat béchamel French toast. For dinner, there’s truffle hollandaise ribeye steak, along with their classic French toast and desserts. How could you not come and indulge in this Tamsui department store culinary experience?
“What? I’m coming too~” It turned out a friend happened to want to come as well, so we made plans to dine together!Eating with more people means you can try a wider variety of dishes—otherwise, ordering too much and not finishing it can be a bit sad...
I believe quite a few people have already seen the video shared by Burnt-out Nurse. That day, we really ate to our heart’s content, so full we felt like walking ten laps around Tamsui Baseball Stadium. But eating too much right after a meal can make you feel nauseous, so let’s just say Burnt-out Nurse is exaggerating a bit. By the way, we also ran into friends from Tamsui who came to eat—we’re all really looking forward to the opening of New York’s breakfast queen, Sarabeth’s, at Taipei’s Tamsui SOGO store.
Sarabeth’s is located on the second floor of Tamsui SOGO Department Store. The decor is somewhat café-like, with large windows offering a clear view of the scenery outside. The bright, goose-yellow dining space also gives off a warm and relaxing vibe.

While waiting outside, the staff provides a small picture menu for you to preview the dishes you might want to order. Aside from Sarabeth’s signature French toast, the two Tamsui-exclusive items—the matcha red bean pancakes and crab meat béchamel French toast—are definitely tempting to try. Additionally, the truffle hollandaise ribeye steak, available only at dinner, is highly recommended, especially since the hollandaise sauce is incredibly delicious.

The three of us ordered drinks: a Floral Fruit Lassi 180 (orange, pineapple, banana, pomegranate), an Orange Lassi 160 (orange, milk, condensed milk, honey, vanilla), and a San Pellegrino Fruit Sparkling Water – Sweet Orange flavor 120. Compared to Burnt-out Nurse’s sparkling water, the other two seemed to be going for healthiness—or maybe they’re just too health-conscious?

Overhearing the conversation at the next table, it seems some thought the eggs Benedict were a bit pricey. But when you think about poaching the egg and making the hollandaise sauce yourself, it’s actually more practical to just order it here. That reasoning makes quite a bit of sense!
So of course, we had to get a Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict~ Served with an English muffin and smoked salmon, the price is 380. Typically, the eggs Benedict are cut to let the yolk flow out, but if you’re nervous about that, you can ask the staff to cook the egg fully.
Besides enjoying the rich flavor from the flowing yolk and smoked salmon, it also comes with plenty of lettuce—fiber overload!

▲ This flowing egg yolk—just looking at the color is enough!Only high-quality eggs have this shade of yolk!
Next, we couldn’t miss the Tamsui-exclusive crab meat béchamel French toast at Sarabeth’s Taipei Tamsui SOGO store, served with white sauce, crab meat, Gruyère cheese, and chicken vegetable soup, priced at 320.
Using soft yet chewy Jewish-style white bread as the base, it’s topped with plump shrimp, shredded crab meat, white sauce, and Gruyère cheese. Cut into bite-sized pieces (one shrimp per bite), the flavor is surprisingly explosive—not greasy at all. The fusion of the white sauce and cheese, along with the rich umami from the shrimp, is truly unforgettable. It’s a limited-time must-order.

A unique burger: all-beef patty, Gruyère cheese, house-pickled green tomatoes, whole wheat bun, fries 420. Add egg +30, add three grilled bacon strips +60.
At first, it seemed a bit pricey, but seeing the thick slab of beef made it understandable. The hand-formed, thick beef patty still had some juice when bitten into, and paired with the cheese, it was really delicious. The fries were served plain, fried well and not greasy, making them easy to eat one after another. If you get steak, it’s recommended to pair it with the truffle hollandaise.

Truffle Hollandaise Ribeye Steak, the full set includes a 12oz ribeye steak, truffle hollandaise, king oyster mushrooms, and fries 880.
It uses U.S.-imported grain-fed beef from the ribeye cut. Unless specified otherwise, it’s served medium to medium-well, but for a more tender texture, it’s best to order it medium-rare~ Not only is it juicy and tender, but when paired with Sarabeth’s specially crafted truffle hollandaise, the flavor is elevated even further.

French toast with strawberries and maple syrup 480.
A thick-looking slice of French toast served with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. The secret to this French toast lies in its eggy surface—when maple syrup is drizzled on, it adds a touch of sweetness. One bite reveals a soft, fluffy texture. It’s delicious!
This kind of multi-layered sweet treat is something you really can’t make well at home—better to just come to Sarabeth’s and enjoy it.

Next up, another dessert—the adult-style Crème Brûlée 180. This one is highly recommended for sweet lovers!
The layer of caramel on top is super thick, melting in your mouth like caramel candy. The inside is incredibly soft, almost like mousse. This dessert perfectly balances hard and soft textures—it’s truly got that grown-up, professional vibe, knowing when to be soft and when to be firm!
