Celebrity-owned Shop / Vincent Fang’s “A Teahouse” — A Perfect Blend of Poetry and Tea

Tired of the hustle and bustle of the main streets? Turn into a quiet alleyway instead. There you’ll find small bookstores, grocery shops, and delightful cafés and teahouses... The idol drama “Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf,” produced by Dreamland Productions, collaborated with 15 Taipei alleyway shops for filming, showcasing the unique charm of each spot. First, let’s take a look at the alleyway shops personally decorated by Vincent Fang, A-Mei Chang, Ashin from Mayday, Wu Jian-heng, and Yao Yuan-hao.

Green vines surround the space, and vintage windows stand half-open. “A Teahouse,” located in the Huashan 1914 Creative Park, was founded by renowned lyricist Vincent Fang and is operated by m:Sheng Farm. Interestingly, when the farm owner Chen m:Jun first heard the name “Vincent Fang,” he was momentarily baffled and asked, “Who’s he?”

The idea for “A Teahouse” came from Vincent Fang’s desire to open a shop that represents Taiwan’s character, but without being limited to selling cultural and creative merchandise. One day, he accidentally tried m:Sheng’s organic cold-brew tea and found it smooth and delicious. “This is it!” he thought. He realized that “tea” is the product that best represents Taiwan, so he reached out to m:Sheng to collaborate.

“A Teahouse” features many collectibles from Vincent Fang’s childhood to the present. The front window also showcases a poem he specially wrote for the teahouse. “Many fans from mainland China specifically ask to sit here,” says Chen m:Jun. To give Taiwanese tea more cultural and creative appeal, they combined the elements of “Vincent Fang” and “tea,” using his poetry on the tea gift box packaging so customers can enjoy both the tea and the beautiful words.

Chen m:Jun has been growing organic tea for 12 years, personally experimenting every step from cultivation to distribution. Despite the challenges, he never considered giving up, firmly believing that growing organic tea is a cause that benefits both himself and others, and worth promoting to customers. Vincent Fang was deeply moved by his dedication and philosophy, and decided to open the shop together.

“We also develop new teas every year,” Chen m:Jun said happily, showing off his farm’s newly launched “Camellia Beauty Tea.” “There’s no other camellia tea on the market that preserves the fragrance and color of the flowers like this.” It seems that with creative artist Vincent Fang, who blends the classic with the trendy, and innovative organic tea farmer Chen m:Jun, “A Teahouse” will bring even more possibilities to Taiwan’s tea culture.
