Another unique Starbucks has opened its doors. On the 26th, Starbucks launched "Taiwan's northernmost Starbucks" in Matsu. In response to the region’s low winter temperatures, the store has also been equipped with heating, making it the only Starbucks outlet in Taiwan with heating.

Located in Nangan, the Matsu Starbucks integrates local characteristics into its design, combining traditional Eastern Fujian stone house architecture with cultural elements such as locally crafted bamboo sun-drying screens. The interior features an open spatial layout, with pendant lights above the counter symbolizing the famous blue tears phenomenon, paired with decorations inspired by the scales on the Starbucks goddess, creating a new photogenic hotspot in the area.

Given the severe cold of Matsu’s winters, the Matsu Starbucks branch has installed heating equipment, becoming Taiwan’s first Starbucks with heating. For beverages, aside from regular offerings, the Matsu Starbucks also introduces pour-over coffee service, providing customers with a new way to enjoy coffee. Collectors can also find Matsu-exclusive mugs and takeaway cards here, allowing travelers to take a piece of Matsu’s charm home as a keepsake.
