A super-premium hot pot restaurant has opened in Zhongli, right near the SOGO area – the very first A5 Japanese Wagyu hot pot specialist in Taoyuan, no less – and it’s boldly named ‘Da Mo. The Ultimate Hot Pot.’ It features the most top-tier ingredients available: American and Australian Wagyu, Japanese Wagyu (Omi beef), Spanish Iberian pork, Hungarian chilled pork, Angus beef, and more... All the meat is fresh, the broth is rich, and the portions are generous. Aside from the meats, there’s also the craziest shrimp gout hot pot and a lavish platter of fresh seafood served right at your table – lobster, oysters, abalone, scallops – all part of the experience. The most luxurious hot pot offerings are all at Da Mo, giving you a bold and supremely satisfying meal.

Located right across from the Zhongli District Office, near the Zhongli SOGO shopping district, Da Mo. The Ultimate Hot Pot has a striking blue exterior that’s easy to spot. The restaurant has two floors, spacious and grand, offering a high-quality hot pot dining experience.

Da Mo Original Meat Meat Shop Refrigerated Display
It’s designed to show customers that all the meat here is imported as is, served fresh – no mixed or processed meats here.

For the Japanese Wagyu, they use Omi Wagyu from Shiga Prefecture, Japan – one of Japan’s top three Wagyu breeds, and it’s all A5 grade, complete with certification.

Self-service beverage bar available
Options include cola, soda, Thai milk tea, juices, black tea, and self-brewed hot drinks.

Thai milk tea is actually pretty rare to find at a hot pot restaurant.

There are lots of sauce choices, and even recommended mixing ratios for dipping meats. I personally recommend their Korean chili sauce – it goes well with everything.

You can freely mix and match, or follow the staff’s suggestions.

Honestly, the meat here is so fresh and delicious, you don’t even need sauce – it’s naturally sweet and flavorful.

Da Mo also offers creative broths, many of which are unique and not what you usually hear about.
Plain vegetable broth, kelp and dried bonito broth, Da Mo signature soy-glazed broth, Thai lemongrass broth, spicy miso broth, spicy broth, Spanish tomato cream broth, ginseng broth, polygonum multiflorum herbal broth, squid milk broth, and milk broth.

Since it’s a double-flavor hot pot, when you’re in a group, you can try multiple broths all at once.

Side dish plate
Whether you go for a set meal or à la carte, your hot pot order always comes with a side dish plate, snacks, dessert, and access to the self-service drink bar. If you’re coming for the Japanese Wagyu, the most affordable entry-level Wagyu is just 688 TWD – and it’s still A5 grade.

Bacon pork
The side dish plate is basically your basic selection of vegetables and hot pot ingredients. If you’re in a big group and don’t necessarily want to order the side dish plate, the staff suggests swapping it out for bacon pork, bacon beef, or clams. For an extra 29 TWD, you can even swap for a plate of grilled shrimp. I think it’s really flexible, with lots of options. For larger groups, you could get two buckets of the side dish plate to share, and then choose things like bacon pork, beef, clams, or grilled shrimp.

Clams(Can be exchanged for using the side dish plate)

Grilled shrimp(Exchange your side dish plate and pay an additional 29 TWD to get grilled shrimp)

Snacks include steamed rice, Guanmiao noodles, Prince noodles, wide flat noodles, glass noodles, Korean ramen, Japanese ramen, and Japanese udon.

I think instant noodles go best with spicy broths like the spicy hot pot.

Spanish Iberian spotted pork
Maybe because I’ve never been a fan of beef since I was young, I’m more familiar with pork – so for me, Spanish Iberian pork is like the A5 grade of the pork world. It’s incredibly delicious!! Sweet, tender, and completely free of any fishy taste.

Japanese Wagyu New York strip
Da Mo. The Da Manzoku Hot Pot features wagyu beef from various countries—USA, Australia, Japan—and of course, the highlight is the newly imported Japanese A5 Omi wagyu, which has just become available in Taiwan. Sourced from Shiga Prefecture, the Omi beef comes in cuts such as snowflake beef, wagyu with fine marbling, ribeye steak, New York strip, and ribeye.
Wagyu lets you experience what it means for meat to melt in your mouth—the distribution of fat is so beautiful it looks like an elegant work of art. Just lightly swish it in the broth for a few seconds, and medium-rare is the most delicious.

US wagyu with fine marbling 6oz, Australian wagyu with fine marbling 6oz, Japanese A5 wagyu ribeye beef 6oz, Hungarian frozen pork loin 6oz.
The marbling, the thickness—just looking at it tells you it’s fresh and top-notch. Seeing that mountain of meat lit up our eyes and got our stomachs growling. Being able to feast on wagyu in Taiwan is just too awesome.

The Luxury Seafood Battleship—you can barely lift it, it’s packed with real premium ingredients.

Going all out in the pot is the legendary gout-inducing hot pot, no doubt about it~
Luckily we don’t eat like this often. Indulging once in a while is one of life’s little joys...

The gout hot pot is so luxurious, everyone couldn’t help but take tons of photos to remember it.

The milk & squid ink milk combo hot pot base is seriously fun—black and white contrast is super playful, and it enhances the flavor of the wagyu even more. The milk brings out the sweetness of the meat, while the squid ink milk adds an extra seafood umami. Both broths get better the longer they cook.

All-you-can-eat seafood, what a fantastic night—so many kinds of fresh shrimp to enjoy, and the broth is rich, sweet, and full of ocean flavors.

As a shrimp-loving immortal bunny, tonight I’m truly fulfilled!!

The seafood was handled very delicately—everything was pre-shelled or prepped for easy cooking. Two big seafood platters were served at once, plus wagyu, and the so-called Rolls-Royce of pork, Spanish Iberico pork… truly living up to the name Da Mo. Big Satisfaction Hot Pot!!

The kids had a great time eating too.

Dessert options include ice cream, shaped custard buns, and more.

Japanese Meiji ice cream is super delicious, with a variety of flavors to satisfy any craving. It’s a perfect way to end a big meal—after all that hot pot, switching to something cool and sweet refreshes your palate. Love it.
