Classic showdown fever: 3 must-visit sports restaurants

The Chinese Taipei team's first-ever advancement to the quarterfinals in the World Baseball Classic has sparked a wave of baseball enthusiasm across the country. Many sports-themed restaurants offering live broadcasts have seen a significant boost in popularity. As match days approach, their reservation hotlines are flooded, making these spots the “go-to” places for fans to catch the games.

For many fans, watching a game isn't just about the score — the atmosphere matters too. Gathering with friends, passionately discussing the match, makes the experience more exciting. During the Classic, many choose to visit restaurants with big-screen broadcasts to cheer on their teams, which also significantly boosts the venues' business. Local business Golden Steer Food Group noted that during this Classic fever, average sales at their outlets grew by around 20%–30%, and seats are almost fully booked as soon as the schedule is confirmed.

Besides well-known chain restaurants, consumers can also opt for themed “sports” restaurants. These venues usually broadcast international sporting events and become especially lively during events like the World Baseball Classic.
