As Valentine’s Day approaches, have you decided where to spend it with your loved one? Visiting New Taipei City is a great choice. The New Taipei City Government Tourism Bureau recommends scenic spots along the Northern Coast, perfect for couples who love taking photos to visit on White Day and capture beautiful memories together.

New Taipei offers many romantic sights. Chen Rui-zhen, Secretary-General of the Republic of China Photographic Commercial Association, pointed out that nearly 10,000 people come to Taiwan specifically to take wedding photos each year, showing that Taiwan’s scenic beauty is also loved by people abroad.

Located on the right bank of the Tamsui River estuary, Fisherman’s Wharf, along with Bali and the 13-Shops Museum on the left bank, have always been popular dating spots for couples. Walking across the iconic white-sail-shaped Lover’s Bridge at Fisherman’s Wharf, surrounded by colorful lights at night, the LOVE light sculpture in front of the bridge is one of the favorite photo spots for couples.

Known as the “Little White House,” the former Office of the Salt Inspectorate’s Official Residence features neat and elegant semicircular corridors, and its white, beautiful architecture leaves a deep impression. In front of the Little White House, you can gaze at the Tamsui River estuary and the scenery of Guanyin Mountain, making it another favored location for wedding photography.

Hobe Fort is a historic site for reminiscing about the past and a hidden gem for locals in Tamsui. Its well-preserved fort walls and large green areas offer a uniquely serene atmosphere, and taking photos in the stone-paved passageways inside the fort symbolizes eternal love witnessed by history.Sanzhi is famous for the scenic beauty of its Hengshan Terraced Fields. Standing among the terraces, the layered geometric patterns created by the fields make for excellent photo opportunities.

Additionally, the Mediterranean-style architecture of the Shimen Wedding Plaza, the artistic sculptures at the Juming Museum in Jinshan, paired with the natural seascape of the Northern Coast, create a feeling of being abroad. A must-visit spot is Wanli District’s Yehliu, where the gracefully shaped Queen’s Head, mushroom rocks, candlestick rocks, and other unique geological formations, along with the blue sky and sea, attract visitors to snap photos non-stop.
