Capture the most beautiful moments! No photography skills required — “Travel Taiwan” photo collection unveiled

Taiwan is beautiful — moving and heart-stirring. To encourage the public to pick up their cameras and capture eternal images of Taiwan’s beauty and touching moments through the lens, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications held the “Travel Taiwan: The Most Beautiful Moment” themed photo contest, selecting photos that are moving and specifically attractive to international travelers. The bureau hopes these images will spark interest in Taiwan among travelers, and that through photographers’ keen observations, the visuals will best reflect Taiwan’s friendly tourism environment.

This selection primarily focused on the perspective of tourism promotion, giving priority to images suitable for international promotional use, while photography skills were considered secondary. The selection process involved lively discussions, with award-winning works focusing on reflecting Taiwan’s tourism elements. As there were six major photography themes, the judging panel selected winning entries for each of the six themed categories before choosing outstanding works regardless of theme. In total, 111 award-winning works were selected.

It’s worth mentioning that the award-winning works are rich and diverse, featuring bustling night market street scenes, lush green tea plantation landscapes, the unique ecological scenery of the Forest of Forgetfulness, newlyweds immersed in the romantic flower fields of Liushitou Mountain, vibrant family travel scenes, traditional folk performances such as the Eight Generals, and the grand event of welcoming the King Boat at Donglong Temple. These showcase the remarkably captivating aspects of Taiwan.
