Based on factors such as price, online reviews, location, cleanliness, and unique features, the Taiwanese website yam蕃薯藤 recently selected Taiwan’s top 10 youth hostels, all priced under NT$1,000 per night for a single room. These hostels offer distinctive cultural experiences and beautiful surroundings, serving as great options for backpackers.

The top 10 youth hostels are divided into two categories: urban areas and scenic spots. Urban Areas: “New Inn Hotel (Station Front Branch)” and “Orange Box Backpackers” in Taipei, “Aloft International Hotel” in Taipei, “Kiwi Express Hotel” in Taichung, and “SINGLE INN Single Room” in Kaohsiung; Scenic Spots: “Rescue Association Alishan Youth Activity Center” in Chiayi, “Rescue Association Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center” in Nantou, “Rescue Association Kenting Youth Activity Center” in Pingtung, “Backpacker’s Prison Homestay” in Taitung, and “Mankosha International Youth Hostel” in Penghu.

1. New Inn Hotel (Station Front Branch):

Just a five-minute walk from Taipei Railway Station and Taipei Metro Station, this hotel emphasizes trendy travel culture and has collaborated with several local street artists to present diverse looks.
