Taipei International Spring Travel Fair Kicks Off: Nine Major Travel Carnival Themes with Special Offers

As the weather warms up, it's the perfect time to travel and explore the world. The 2013 "7th Taipei International Spring Travel Fair" will be grandly held from April 26 to 29 at Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center, with nearly 500 booths from 250 renowned domestic and international travel agencies. They offer travel planning and a rejuvenating travel carnival. There are nine major theme areas including "Overseas Travel," "Domestic Travel," "Featured Homestays," "Hot Springs & SPA," "Hotels & Inns," "Classic Motels," "Travel Essentials," "Tourist Souvenirs," and "Gourmet Feasts."

For special travel deals, Japan remains a top destination among Taiwanese travelers. Coupled with yen exchange rate fluctuations, early bird deals to Hokkaido now offer savings of up to NT$4,000 for the second person. Round-trip flights to Hong Kong originally priced at NT$6,900 are now available for just NT$3,999. A 5-day "Thai White Dragon King Fortune-Bringing Trip" originally priced at NT$16,800 is now offered at NT$9,900.

On the opening day, Friday, April 26, starting at 10:00 AM, the first 100 visitors to purchase full-price tickets at the World Trade Center lobby ticket booth can receive a free premium travel care set (worth approximately NT$1,500) upon presenting their ticket stub. Among them, five lucky visitors can advance to the opening gold-scooping activity, where the winner will receive a NT$26,000 travel fund. The other four will receive accommodation vouchers worth over NT$1,000.

On Saturday, April 27, enjoy a hundred-dollar family fun trip to Hong Kong. The first 50 parent-child pairs arriving before 10:00 AM—where parents purchase full-price tickets at the World Trade Center lobby ticket booth (children over 115 cm in height and under 12 years old are free)—can receive a free hot spring voucher and a Disney keychain per family upon presenting their ticket stub. Among them, five lucky parent-child pairs can advance to a family activity, where the winners can purchase a 3-day, 2-night Hong Kong trip for one adult and one child (including flight, hotel, and Disney tickets) for just NT$100. The other four pairs will receive accommodation vouchers worth over NT$1,000.

On Sunday, April 28, the first 100 women arriving before 10:00 AM to purchase full-price tickets at the World Trade Center lobby ticket booth can receive a free premium travel care set upon presenting their ticket stub. Among them, five lucky participants can advance to a “Treat Women to a Drink” activity, where the winning participant can enjoy a NT$10,000 classic feast to celebrate Mother’s Day for just NT$100.
