Taichung Travel Fair / Legoland and Costa Atlantica Cruise Ship to Welcome Visitors in Taiwan

The 2013 Taichung Travel Fair is set to take place from April 19th to April 22nd. To allow more Taiwanese to experience the vibrant summer vibes of Southeast Asia, the Malaysian Tourism Board has introduced a variety of travel packages to Malaysia, starting from just NT$16,000. Whether you want to visit Asia’s only Legoland, cruise along the Strait of Malacca, explore the lush natural beauty of Sabah – the “Land Below the Wind,” or indulge in top-tier resort experiences in Southeast Asia, these options can all be booked during the travel fair.

Asia’s only Legoland, Malaysia Legoland is the world’s sixth Legoland park, following those in Denmark, the UK, Germany, and California in the US. It features seven themed zones with over 40 rides and attractions. The highlight of the park is the “Mini Land” area, built with 30 million LEGO bricks, showcasing streets and landscapes from Malaysia and around the world at a 1:20 scale.

For those seeking a luxurious cruise holiday, the Costa Atlantica, built in 2000, was specially designed as a tribute to Italian film master Federico Fellini. Its 12 decks are each named after one of Fellini’s iconic films. Inside the ship, materials such as Carrara marble, Murano crystal glass, mosaic tiles, and the opulent onboard café all recreate the relaxed ambiance of Venice.

In addition, the historic city of Malacca, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008, attracts thousands of visitors from around the world every year. Located at a key maritime crossroads, it preserves many remnants of Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonial rule. Whether you’re exploring the old town by trishaw, visiting the Dutch Red House, or sampling delicacies on Jonker Street, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time.

To escape the hustle and bustle of city life, many travelers choose to reconnect with nature during their holidays, making Sabah in Malaysia a top choice for eco-tourism. Surrounded by sea on three sides, Sabah is located on the island of Borneo, and its stunning natural beauty draws visitors from far and wide.
