The area around Jinhua Street in Huaguang Community, originally scheduled for demolition at six o'clock this (24th) morning, suddenly had a blockade erected on the evening of the 23rd, sparking public dissatisfaction. As a result, Liao Family Beef Noodles, which had planned to stay open “until the very last moment,” was also forced to be isolated within the blockade. This “last night” left the Liao family filled with emotion, as the beef noodles could only be handed to customers through the gaps in the fence.

Unexpectedly, the police set up the blockade earlier than planned, separating the crowd who wanted to bid farewell to the 41-year-old noodle shop across the fence. “Boss, one small bowl of beef noodles.” On one side of the fence, orders continued as usual, except the customers were seated elsewhere; on the other side, the Liao family cooked the noodles and carefully carried them out past the blockade.
