A tour group organized by HowToTrip (Lion Travel) was involved in a bus accident at noon on the 29th in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, due to slippery roads caused by rain. The accident resulted in three fatalities: tour leader Xie Anqi, tourist Zheng Fangbin, and tourist Mei Xuejuan. The group consisted of 13 Taiwanese tourists and one Taiwanese tour guide, with 11 suffering minor injuries and having been taken to the People’s Hospital.

According to reports, HowToTrip’s tour bus was traveling on the highway from Changsha to Fenghuang Ancient Town when, at the 115-kilometer mark at 11:45 AM today (29th), due to slippery roads caused by rain, the driver lost control while trying to avoid a small passenger car, leading to the accident. Tour leader Xie Anqi, tourist Zheng Fangbin, and tourist Mei Xuejuan were pronounced dead at the scene. The other 11 people sustained minor injuries and have been sent to the First and Second People’s Hospitals of Changde, Hunan. At 7:35 PM tonight, representatives from the travel agency and family members will fly to the site to handle the situation.
