Sweet to the max, romantic to the fullest — New Taipei City’s 24-hectare “Happiness Water Park” features 2.6 hectares of floral fields planted with seasonal blooms like cosmos, sunflowers, and sage. Paired with streams, green spaces, and nearly 20 “happiness”-themed installations, this park, which opened in June 2010, has quickly become a “dream destination” among visitors and photography enthusiasts.

Take the MRT to Sanchong Station, then walk about 30 meters from Exit 1 to reach Happiness Water Park. First-time visitors will be struck by its vast green lawns. The park is often filled with people exercising — some strolling, others jogging or cycling, while groups of young folks gather on concrete open spaces to try extreme sports like longboarding, looking very trendy.

Happiness Water Park is planted with many seasonal flowers. When reporters visited, “clover” was in full bloom. From afar, these adorable wild white flowers looked like patches of snow covering the grass. In addition to the blossoms, the park also features over 10 romantic decorations such as “Love Bell Forest” and “Love You Forever.” It’s common to see couples coming here on weekends to shoot wedding photos, strolling through the beautiful scenery with friends, family, or loved ones, and feeling a warm sense of happiness welling up from the heart.
