On the 14th, Taipei’s Grand Hotel hosted the “Colorful Guizhou Tourism Promotion Conference.” Chen Miner, Deputy Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Governor of Guizhou, who led a delegation to Taiwan, introduced to tourism industry peers and the Taiwanese public the mountains, lakes, Caohai Lake, and ethnic minority culture of Guizhou. He also invited Taiwanese people to experience refined travel in Guizhou and discover the diverse and colorful aspects of “Colorful Guizhou.”

Natural attractions such as the “Buyi Sacred Mother Twin Peaks Scenic Area,” “Maling River Grand Canyon,” “Tianxing Gallery,” “Huangguoshu Waterfall,” “Huajiang Grand Canyon,” and “Wanfenglin” are highly appealing, with visitor numbers increasing year by year. In addition to nature’s bounty, “Guizhou’s charm” also represents a cultural fusion of multiple ethnic groups, encompassing the characteristics of Han, Miao, Buyi, Dong, Yi, Gelao, and Shui peoples. It showcases remarkable artistry in large-scale song and dance performances, traditional costumes, and silver jewelry.

Many distinguished guests at the event spoke highly of Guizhou’s distinctive natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and ethnic minority cultural scenery. They also noted that transportation between Guizhou and Taiwan is now very convenient – one can have breakfast in Guiyang in the morning and reach Taipei for lunch in just over two hours. Governor Chen Miner pointed out at the promotion conference that Guizhou and Taiwan share deep geographical, human, and cultural ties, being on the same latitude, and that the Miao people and Taiwan’s Gaoshan people even share common lifestyles. Guizhou is a grand garden of ethnic cultures, and he hopes that Taiwanese tourism professionals will share more experiences with Guizhou. He also welcomes Taiwanese people to visit Guizhou for tourism and investment.
