The daytime parade “Happiness Is Here” features “the one and only Mickey in the world”?
“There’s a rumor that there’s only one real Mickey in the world—if Mickey appears in Tokyo Disneyland, there wouldn’t be one in America.” This “eternal question” among many Disney fans was met with an imaginative explanation from a Disney professional guide: “It’s magic!” And this magic will appear in the grand 30th-anniversary parade “Happiness Is Here.”
Stepping into Tokyo Disneyland feels like truly entering a fantastical world of magic. From the ticket checkers and cleaning staff to the merchandise vendors, smiles stretch across everyone’s faces. Once visitors enter the park, their joyful expressions never fade, because in this magical realm of fantasy, any surprise or enchanting story could happen.

Starting at 3 PM, the 500-meter-long parade officially makes its way down Disney Boulevard, featuring 13 floats and 7 segments. It begins with Goofy riding a carousel, leading Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs onto the stage, instantly causing both kids and adults to scream with excitement. Following that, Disney stars from classics like “Three Little Pigs,” “Pinocchio,” “The Aristocats,” “Lilo & Stitch,” and the “Toy Story” series make their appearances one by one. Woody from “Toy Story” also struts down the park path in cowboy style, dancing all the way.

When the “Genie” from Aladdin’s magic lamp leads the palace troupe onto the boulevard, the parade hits its second climax. Characters from “Alice in Wonderland” also join in with joyful and whimsical dance steps. The hand-drawn-style “Winnie the Pooh” enters a world filled with honey jars.

At the end of the parade, a massive 12-meter float packed with balloons symbolizing joy and happiness carries Donald Duck, dressed in a glamorous outfit for the 30th anniversary. Finally, Mickey and Minnie take the stage as the grand finale, donning brand-new golden outfits and waving to all the guests in the park from the float. At this moment, all the seated audience members along the boulevard reach out their hands to wave enthusiastically at Mickey—unwilling to leave this space brimming with magic and imagination, thinking, “Because the one and only Mickey who brings joy in the whole world is right here in our hearts.”
