A Scottish hotel houses a collection of 1,031 whiskies, certified by Guinness World Records as the most diverse in the world

Scotland boasts a rich history and culture. Beyond its ancient cities and historic streets, traditions such as bagpipe music and whisky-making offer uniquely memorable travel experiences. For instance,the Daily Mail reportedthat a Scottish hotel is home to over 1,000 different whisky brands—making it a fantastic destination for travelers with a passion for fine spirits.

This hotel, named Glenesk Hotel, is located in Angus, Scotland.The hotel owner, Dylan Wren, has a private collection of about 2,500 bottles of whisky, making the entire display truly spectacular. While some of the collection comes from abroad, the focus is mainly on locally distilled Scotch whiskies—virtually every brand and flavor can be found here.The most valuable bottle is a 25-year-old Lagavulin (produced in the renowned whisky region of Islay), worth around NT$12,000.。

Guinness World Records has also recognized Glenesk Hotel as the place with the most diverse whisky collection in the world. The hotel manager stated that the owner is extremely passionate about whisky and believes that a whisky bar can become a key attraction, showcasing Scotland’s rich and profound whisky culture to visitors from around the globe.
