Last updated 2026-10-02 — Remember the love story between Li Da-ren and Cheng Youqing? In the drama, the two understood and cherished each other, eventually getting married and becoming the enviable “perfect relationship of best friends, lovers, family, and spouses.” But is their love relationship after marriage truly eternal? In reality, their love and trust are being tested by “marriage,” much like the lives of all couples who jump into the “marriage grave.”

Remember the love story between Li Da-ren and Cheng Youqing? In the drama, the two understood and cherished each other, eventually getting married and becoming the enviable “perfect relationship of best friends, lovers, family, and spouses.” But is their love relationship after marriage truly eternal? In reality, their love and trust are being tested by “marriage,” much like the lives of all couples who jump into the “marriage grave.” That’s why Cheng Youqing chooses to come to Singapore to rediscover her “feelings” for Li Da-ren.

“For most people, this is Asia’s financial hub, a shopping paradise, but for me, it’s a place filled with love memories.” Cheng Youqing says in the Singapore Tourism Board’s micro-movie *Rediscovering Love from the Heart*. Those who have watched *In Time with You* won’t forget how Cheng Youqing flew to Singapore to accompany the busy Da-ren, all because the “love element” in their hearts pulled them together. But can love stay fresh after two, five, or even ten years of marriage?

The Singapore Tourism Board’s first micro-movie *Rediscovering Love from the Heart* recently held its global premiere in Beijing. The official Sina Weibo account of the Singapore Tourism Board and the micro-movie’s dedicated Sina theme website live-streamed the event, witnessing the birth of the micro-movie together. Starring Golden Bell Award winner Ivy Chen, the micro-movie conveys the travel theme “Rediscovering Singapore from the Heart.” It portrays the original drama’s female lead, Cheng Youqing, struggling to cope with the “emotional crisis” with Da-ren after marriage, and angrily returning to Singapore alone to rediscover her love memories on a romantic journey.

Cheng Youqing’s solo trip to Singapore not only allowed her to make new friends and visit relatives together while enjoying Peranakan family banquets, but she also discovered an orchid necklace symbolizing “everlasting love.” These experiences full of love, friendship, and family helped her rediscover human emotions and re-examine the love in her heart, taking a fresh look at the subtle changes in her relationship with Da-ren — from friends to lovers and then to family.

Mr. Zhou Zhenxing, Director of the Greater China Region at the Singapore Tourism Board, said: “Shooting this micro-movie was inspired by realizing that it’s increasingly difficult for modern people to express the love in their hearts bravely — not just to friends and family, but sometimes even to their loved ones. In fact, travel is a great choice. It gives everyone space to start afresh from the heart and reflect, and it’s also an opportunity to rediscover love from the heart.” *Rediscovering Love from the Heart* deconstructs “love” while showcasing the beauty of Singapore from various perspectives.

Audiences can not only watch the stories of Cheng Youqing unfold in well-known attractions such as Marina Bay, Sentosa, and Haji Lane, but also enjoy some lesser-known, brand-new sights — such as beachfront villas filled with natural vibes, the dreamy and dazzling Supertree Grove, and the “underwater suite” that holds delightful surprises.
