Seven Must-Dos: Hong Kong Disneyland’s “Mystic Point” Debuts

The last of the first phase of expansion projects at Hong Kong Disneyland, the world’s one-of-a-kind themed land “Mystic Point,” has officially made its grand debut. Visitors can explore the “Seven Unmissable” fantasy sensory hotspots in Mystic Point, be among the first to witness globally pioneering advanced technologies, and enjoy a wide array of handicrafts, cultural performances, cuisine, and souvenirs from around the world.　

The globally unique themed land “Mystic Point” consists of five parts: “The Manor of Mysteries,” “The Enchanted Garden,” “The Explorer’s Club Restaurant,” “The Mystic Point Curio Shop,” and “Mystic Point Station.” It is based on an original Disney story about the great explorer Sir Henry, who loved collecting rare and exotic artifacts. He amassed over 7,000 treasures from his travels around the world. However, his mischievous monkey assistant, Albert, disobeyed his warnings and opened the latest magical music box he had acquired, unleashing “Music Dust” with mysterious powers — thus beginning an extraordinary adventure.

When exploring “The Manor of Mysteries,” the theatrical effects deliver a stunning entertainment experience. Each guest will feel as if they are sitting in the front row of a theater, experiencing 40 visual effects created by 11 specially designed scenes and 36 projectors — including four ultra-high-definition 4K projectors — up close. Throughout the journey, you can also enjoy a newly composed score by Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning international composer Danny Elfman, accompanied by bursts of cool air from mysterious exhibits that stimulate your sense of touch.

The “Mystic Magneto-Electric Car” offers a 360-degree immersive experience, constantly drawing passengers’ attention to the most exciting parts of the story. In your ears, you’ll hear the mysterious and fantastical sounds of “Music Dust,” specially created by Grammy Award-winning composer Danny Elfman, adding even more thrill to the journey.

Hong Kong Disneyland CEO Joe Schott said: “With the successful completion of these three themed lands, we have reached an important milestone for Hong Kong Disneyland and the local tourism industry. We are confident that these three new themed lands — ‘Toy Story Land,’ ‘Grizzly Gulch,’ and ‘Mystic Point’ — will become key drivers for Hong Kong Disneyland, significantly boosting attendance and profits. As Walt Disney once said: ‘As long as there is imagination in the world, Disneyland will never be finished.’ Upholding this belief, Hong Kong Disneyland will continue to expand, contributing to Hong Kong’s economic development while creating more magical experiences for guests of all ages from around the world.”

Within the newly opened Mystic Point, there are seven unmissable highlights: the must-see “The Manor of Mysteries,” the must-ride “Mystic Magneto-Electric Car,” the must-hear “Music Dust” composed by Danny Elfman, the must-photograph “The Enchanted Garden,” the must-know “Mystic Point Station,” the must-taste “The Explorer’s Club Restaurant,” and the must-shop “Mystic Point Curio Shop.”

Following the openings of “Toy Story Land” and “Grizzly Gulch,” the newly added fantasy journey “Mystic Point” increases the total area of the park by nearly a quarter. The park now offers over 100 attractions in total and is expected to attract visitors of all ages from various countries, especially those from Central and Southern China, as well as Taiwan.
