Summer Domestic Travel Deals: Luxury Hotel Stays at Over 50% Off

To welcome the peak summer travel season, hotels are rolling out discounted stays to capture the domestic tourism market, slashing prices to around 50% off and incorporating “family-friendly” elements to promote bookings, allowing families to enjoy weekend hotel getaways with their kids.

Taipei Silks Place is launching two special stay promotions from June 10 to August 31: the “Easy Breezy Summer Stay Package” and the “Explore Taipei with Maokong Gondola Fun Summer Package,” offering guests the chance to stay in luxury rooms worth over NT$10,000 for just over a thousand NT$, kicking off summer in style together.

Boasting convenient transportation and a rich cultural atmosphere, Taipei Silks Place features priceless artworks by renowned local and international artists, combined with simple yet elegant comfortable spaces. During the height of summer, the hotel introduces the “Easy Breezy Summer Stay Package,” where luxury rooms originally priced at NT$12,000 can be booked for as low as NT$4,900.

Additionally, to celebrate the reopening of the Maokong Gondola, Taipei Silks Place—located along the MRT Brown Line (Maokong Line)—has partnered with the gondola to launch the “Explore Taipei with Maokong Gondola Fun Summer Package.” For just NT$5,200, guests can stay in a classic luxury room and receive a Maokong Gondola sightseeing passport, allowing unlimited free rides on buses and the MRT throughout Taipei, as well as a ride on the crystal gondola to enjoy breathtaking views of the Maokong tea plantations from high above.

The Regent Taipei has partnered with the British children’s luggage brand Trunki to launch the “Kids Love to Travel” summer stay package. During the promotion period, consecutive two-night stays in a family room qualify for one Trunki suitcase (worth NT$2,190). If booked before June 15, just one night’s stay is enough to receive a suitcase.

Promotion Details:  Double occupancy in a deluxe single room for NT$4,900 per night plus 10% service charge, or double occupancy in a deluxe double room for NT$5,700 per night plus 10% service charge (both include two servings of buffet breakfast and free Wi-Fi). Add NT$1,500 per person plus 10% service charge for one breakfast and an extra bed; add NT$2,000 per person plus 10% service charge for an upgrade to an executive suite.

(both include two Maokong Gondola sightseeing passports, two servings of buffet breakfast, and free Wi-Fi). Add NT$250 per person for one Maokong Gondola sightseeing passport, add NT$1,500 per person plus 10% service charge (includes one breakfast and an extra bed), or add NT$2,000 per person plus 10% service charge for an upgrade to an executive suite.
