Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
From May 8 to June 4, Hanshin Harbor is offering an all-you-can-eat oyster promotion, loved by Taiwanese diners, featuring oysters imported from Hiroshima, Japan. The “Welcome Summer. Oyster Time” gourmet festival will be served during lunch and dinner periods every day of the week, allowing guests to indulge in a rich variety of fresh, seasonal seafood throughout May.
For this oyster festival, special buyers have selected large-sized Hiroshima oysters, averaging between 12–15 centimeters—about the size of an adult’s palm. To showcase the various flavors of fresh oysters, Hanshin Harbor occasionally offers preparations such as steamed, garlic-steamed, and grilled to provide diners with a diverse culinary experience. Liu Ziming, the brand director of Hanshin Harbor, mentioned that steaming brings out the natural sweetness of the oysters, and the chefs prepare a specially made citrus soy sauce with a mildly acidic, citrusy aroma to enhance the taste and allow guests to explore different flavor profiles. Garlic steaming adds aromatic depth, while Hiroshima oysters inherently possess a unique briny, mineral-rich flavor. Through the chefs’ varied cooking techniques, each oyster presents a distinct taste, sure to satisfy seafood enthusiasts.
