Seize the Thai travel opportunity this summer vacation — Flights resumed from July between Taoyuan and Chiang Mai

TransAsia Airways continues to open new destinations, expanding its Asian route network. Following the launch of Bangkok in March, Ishigaki Island in Japan in May, and Zhangjiajie in June, flights between Taoyuan and Chiang Mai will commence on July 3, operating every Wednesday and Saturday. This move aims to capture the peak summer travel demand to Thailand and further boost international flight operations.

Chiang Mai, Thailand’s second-largest city and the art hub of Northern Thailand, is situated in a valley at an altitude of 300 meters, enjoying a cool climate. It has long been a summer retreat for the Thai royal family and is also known as the “Rose of the North.” Benefiting from the open skies policy between Taiwan and Thailand, and seeing strong tourism potential in Thailand, TransAsia Airways successfully launched Bangkok services in March. Leveraging its past experience in chartered flight services, the airline successfully applied to open the Chiang Mai route.

With both major Thai destinations now accessible, travelers can plan trips to either the bustling, fashion-forward Bangkok or the mountain resort town of Chiang Mai via TransAsia Airways’ flight services. To celebrate the official launch, the airline is offering special promotional fares for economy class round-trip tickets starting from NT$13,900 (excluding tax, 14-day ticket validity, limited seats available on each flight) for those departing before July 31.

TransAsia Holidays, exclusively handled by Dragonair Travel, offers four-day/three-night package tours including flights and hotels, with a minimum of two people required and prices starting from NT$12,300 per person (four-star hotels, excluding taxes and visa fees). For group tours, it has partnered with 18 authorized travel agencies to offer tour packages starting from NT$19,900 (including taxes and visa fees) for four days, and NT$23,800 (including taxes and visa fees) for five days, catering to both individual travelers and group needs.
