Go to Hawaii to see the "Battleship" battleship！The first U.S.-based airline offers direct flights

Remember those impressive scenes from last summer’s blockbuster movie Battleship, where majestic warships sailed the seas? In Hawaii, you’ll find not just sunshine, beaches, and blue waters, but also fascinating "military vessels" to explore—offering a deep dive into the traces of historical warfare. Hawaiian Airlines will launch direct flights between Taipei and Honolulu in July, with introductory fares starting as low as NT$11,888.

Regarding the new Taipei–Honolulu route, Hawaiian Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Peter Ingram said that Hawaii is a beloved vacation destination for Taiwanese, and with the recent added benefit of the U.S. visa waiver program, he believes the Taiwanese market holds great potential. He also hopes to offer travelers an “aloha” experience, so that the moment they step on the plane, they can feel the rich Hawaiian spirit. This, according to Ingram, is one of the main reasons why Hawaiian Airlines is the preferred choice.

Starting July 10, flights will depart Taipei (Taoyuan) for Hawaii (Honolulu) every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 20:55. Alongside the inaugural promotion, Hawaiian Airlines is offering “Taipei–Honolulu starting from NT$11,888 (excluding tax)” and “Taipei to Honolulu with connecting flights to nearby islands starting from NT$14,888 (excluding tax).” Travelers wishing to go to New York or other North American cities can also choose to make a flexible connection via Hawaii, with flights available almost daily.
