【Top of Eastern Japan】hki Prefecture’s Grand Light Festival is Not to Be Missed!

Want to see festive lights before Christmas? Head to Ashikaga City in hki Prefecture, Japan, to witness the largest light festival in the Kanto region.

The park’s world-class wisteria displays consist of three wisteria trellises covering 300 tsubo each and one eight-layered wisteria trellis also spanning 300 tsubo. Coupled with an 80-meter-long white wisteria tunnel and a yellow wisteria tunnel, visitors feel as if they’re immersed in a sea of flowers. From late October to early February each year, the park is decorated with up to 2.1 million light bulbs, earning it the second-place ranking in Japan’s light festival rankings.
