Right at the start of 2016, an architectural selection was released — nine buildings chosen by CNN as the “Most Anticipated New Urban Landmarks of 2016.” Last time we sharedMust-See: The 9 Most Stunning Landmarks of 2016 (Part 1) — and now it’s time for Part 2 !

National Museum of African American History and Culture (Washington, D.C.)

The museum’s exterior is made of a complex bronze mesh, created to honor the contributions of formerly enslaved African Americans from the South who later played key roles in the ironwork industry after gaining their freedom.

Ping An Finance Center (Shenzhen)

It was selected for being a high-standard “green building” — truly an honor.

Tao Zhu Yin Yuan (Taipei)

Designed by a French architect, Tao Zhu Yin Yuan features a rotating form and is centered around eco-friendly concepts. It includes several gardens and terraces, can recycle organic waste and water on its own, and even has a solar power system. It is expected to become one of the most environmentally friendly buildings.

Taipei Performing Arts Center (Taipei)

Construction began in 2012, and the main structure is expected to be completed by June next year. The upcoming Taipei Performing Arts Center, with its cubic main building supporting a massive floating sphere in mid-air, boasts a really cool design.
