The Lunar New Year holiday has passed, but the Year of the Monkey has just begun. Those who haven't gone out to seek good fortune can take a short trip toTaiwanto see the lantern festival. The 32-hectare festival spans six major lantern zones, including the World of Technology, Prayers and Blessings, Fairy Tales,TaoyuanStories, Multicultural Exchange, and New Peach Blossom Land.

"A single peach tree bears thousands of red blooms." At the lantern festival held next toTaoyuanHigh-Speed Rail Station, there is a dazzling forest of blessing lanterns that is truly eye-catching.

China Airlines recently introduced the A350 Airbus. To mark the occasion,the design team created a magnificent decoration at the welcome gate, measuring 36 meters in length, 14 meters in width, and 10 meters in height. It’s said that in front of and behind the welcome gate, there are LED-lighted airplanes flying outward, symbolizing dreams taking flight with everyone aboard.

This year also features various interactive lantern displays, including a tunnel hand-painted entirely in 3D to make you feel as if you're walking through a real underwater tunnel. There's also a projection technology area where visitors can take photos on-site, and their images instantly appear on the cloud-shaped lanterns — this is the most interactive and popular lantern zone at the festival.

And in the technology zone, a crystal glass sculpture titled "Cosmic Tower," made from 10,000 pieces of glass, standing 10.25 meters tall and weighing two tons, is extremely eye-catching.

This year's lantern festival also features five major zones including food stalls, specialty goods, and souvenirs, with a total of 750 booths planned. You can enjoy viewing, shopping, and dining all in one place—super convenient. The city government has also specially launched the "Lantern Festival Peachy Fun App." After downloading, you can access information on food, drinks, and entertainment at the festival. Additionally, authorities have introduced the "Energetic Monkey" small lantern, which will be given out for free at the venue starting at 3 p.m. every day during the festival. One per person, while supplies last.
