The underground scenery on Milan’s streets becomes even more fascinating when you know the stories behind it!

Who would have thought that within an abandoned sewer, there could be a bathroom, kitchen, or even paintings hanging in such a cramped space? The answer is: artist Briancoshock.

This installation art is certainly not meant for actual cooking or bathing, nor is it intended to mock the cramped living spaces we currently endure. Instead, it aims to inspire reflection on life. The series, titled Borderlife, conveys a harsh reality.

InRomania’s capital,Bucharest,there are actually hundreds of people living in the sewers. With dreadful living conditions and a sunless underground existence, many of them suffer from serious illnesses, including AIDS. These are homeless wanderers and orphans who have all gathered in this underground world due to life’s hardships. What seems like a fun piece of art actually carries profound meaning.
