Adorably girly – Taipei W and Kate Spade collaborate on an afternoon tea set

Taipei W Hotel has teamed up with New York fashion brand Kate Spade to create a vibrant, summery South American-inspired “Sunny Escape” duo afternoon tea set. From now until August 31, the Taipei W Hotel x Kate Spade collaboration “Sunny Escape” duo afternoon tea will be available daily from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM in limited quantities at the 31st-floor Purple Lounge, priced at NT$1,800 + 10% per set. The set includes 10 sweet and savory items, two servings of tea or coffee, unlimited coffee refills, and four selected cocktails.

The energetic and vibrant New York brand Kate Spade New York drew inspiration for its summer 2024 collection from the bold color palette of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, traditional Mexican bridal wear, cacti, desert animals, and party props like the donkey piñata.

Taipei W Hotel Executive Chef Joshua Marshall and Pastry Chef He Yumei have incorporated these design elements into the “Sunny Escape” duo afternoon tea desserts. Using a color scheme of red, lilac, and grass green, they have artfully created cactus-shaped macarons, yuzu mousse with chocolate crisp baskets, donkey-shaped colorful cocoa madeleines, tropical fruit mousse handbags, vibrant red pepper & mango tarts, and lavender-hued coconut scones, all delivering a visually stunning effect.
