The only one in all of Taiwan – Swiss Alphorn performances at a local ranch

What’s your impression of Puxin Ranch? With a history of 60 years, Puxin Ranch symbolizes the traditional spirit of the Taiwanese people, diligently cultivating the land. But this year, Puxin Ranch will be very different – a strong “Swiss vibe” will soon be presented on the ranch, along with the local traditional instrument, the “Alphorn,” which is now the only one in all of Taiwan. It will be played by a national treasure-level musician right here on the ranch.

Switzerland is a paradise for many travelers, known as the “Park of the World.” When thinking of the country “Switzerland,” one can’t miss the snow-capped Alps. This summer, “Wei-Chuan Puxin Farm” is bringing the Swiss atmosphere to the ranch to share the fun with the public.

Yao Yingsheng, the manager of Wei-Chuan Puxin Ranch, said: “We’re afraid people will call us an old brand. An old brand sounds like it’s not innovative. But actually, this is our third year introducing global cultural elements. We are actively working to internationalize Puxin Ranch and want to give visitors a unique experience.”

This time, Puxin Ranch has also collaborated with the Swiss Office to bring in the rare local instrument, the “Alphorn.” The performing group includes former members of the Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, and they have planned a “European Mask Exhibition.” Visitors can enjoy free face painting activities during the event, as well as a traditional Swiss market, making everyone feel as if they are in a little Switzerland.

Theme of Puxin Ranch’s Third Season EventThe “2013 Swiss Carnival: Forest Melodies of the Alphorn” event will take place from July 13 to August 25, with live performances every weekend.Puxin Ranch is also holding the “Third Puxin Ranch Beauty Discovery – Swiss Carnival Photography Contest,” with the top prize being NT$30,000. All entries are submitted online, and the public can sign up and join the competition themselves.
