It’s autumn again, and besides enjoying the red foliage, viewing silvergrass is also a great activity. Datong Mountain is certainly a popular choice for silvergrass viewing, but nearby,Taipei’sYangmingshanis just as good.
Yangmingshan National Parkis the national park closest toTaipeicity. It generally refers to Datun Mountain, Qixing Mountain, Shamao Mountain, and Little Guanyin Mountain. Among them,Qingtian Gang Grasslandis a flat grazing area covered with lush grass and plants, where cattle and sheep roam freely. In autumn, it is surrounded by silvergrass, creating a stunning view.
Also worth mentioning is that the terrain here is gentle, with hiking trails of low difficulty and relatively fewer crowds. For those who want an easy day trip from the city, this is definitely a great option.
How to Get There:
Take the MRT to Jiantan Station (Danshui-Xinyi Line), then transfer to bus 260 or Red 5 to Yangmingshan Station.
